Bespoke Pathways to Healthy Living

Welcome to Cause Wellbeing!

We are all unique in our experience of moving through life, and when we’re ready to learn a transformative healing movement practice, one size does not fit all. We naturally share many elements as human beings, yet our travels through life impact each of us differently.

The Holden style Qi Gong I teach takes these differences into consideration. Whether we work individually or in a group setting, I like to first meet together to introduce you to this wonderful ancient healing system, and to find out about you, your background and needs.

My combined skills as RN, trained Five Element acupuncturist, and MindBodyGreen certified Health and Wellness coach ensure you are certain to receive an attentive and knowledgeable response. This way we can tailor your Qi Gong practice to your needs, and you will be sure to derive the most benefit from its presence in your life.

Discover calm strength and radiant health through Qi Gong

Qi Gong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is one of the oldest healing practices on earth – a gentle yet profound system that blends slow graceful movements and deep natural breathing together with relaxed attention and intention. For over four thousand years, ordinary people, monks, physicians, and martial artists in China and now the world over, have used these practices to strengthen the body, calm the mind, and enhance healthy lifespan. Regular practice can help ease pain, restore energy, calm the mind, and awaken your body’s natural ability to heal—starting right where you are.

I’m Deanna Tennancour, based in Missoula, Montana, located in the Western Rockies of the U.S. I have the pleasure of guiding students—young and old, healthy and healing— to strength, joy, and inspired well-being. My classes are simple, practical, and enjoyable. No matter your age or condition, there is always something effective and graceful you can do to cause your own wellbeing to both ignite and emerge.

Let’s walk this path together.

Start Your Qi Gong Practice With a Few Gentle Minutes A Day

My in-person and zoom classes bring you authentic, time-tested Qi Gong practices made accessible, relatable, and while also fun, effective too. In a few welcome minutes a day, you’ll feel more energised, less pain, calmer emotions, and clearer mental focus, whether you’re completely new or have been practicing for years. Qi Gong movements presented clearly, are safe and modifiable to all conditions; i.e. they are designed for real humans and you can begin feeling the benefits right from the very first session.

Ancient Wisdom, Modern Healing

Qi Gong, the ancient Chinese art of “cultivating life force energy,” traces its roots back over 4,000 years. Drawn from keen observations of the natural world, it was born among Taoist hermits and early physicians. Qi Gong began as a preventative health care system, a way to heal injuries, strengthen the body, and to lengthen healthy lifespan using nothing more than patterns of slow, graceful movements, combined wtih conscious breathing, focused intention and attention

Over millennia, these practices have been quietly refined in villages, temples, and medical traditions, eventually spreading across Asia and, in the last century, to the rest of the world. We are very fortunate to be the benefactors of this ancient tradition, which is more than relevant to our needs today.

Today, modern research confirms what the ancients lived: regular Qi Gong reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, improves circulation, eases chronic pain, boosts immunity, improves balance, and restores emotional equilibrium. Yet its essence remains beautifully simple and accessible—anyone, at any age or condition, can begin.
